

CHELSEA NIELSEN
Club Director
Chelsea has been the club director with the Killam Spartans since 2021, and coached with the Killam Spartans from 2019-2025. Prior to that, she coached 15U club volleyball with the Strathmore Chaos Volleyball Club. She has also coached Senior High Girls in Cardston, and is currently the coach of the Junior High girls at Killam Public School.

Chelsea was a member of the Killam Spartans Volleyball Club from 2005-2007, and her team won the 2006 Division 1 Provincial Championship.
​
Chelsea is a teacher at Killam Public School. In addition to coaching and directing club volleyball, she plays competitive volleyball twice a week, and enjoys skiing, bicycling, and traveling.

CURTIS HRDLICKA
Coach
Born and raised in Daysland, Curtis has always had a passion for sports and community. After graduating from NAIT, he returned to his hometown where he and his wife are raising their three children--two sons and one daughter.
​
With a background in athletics, Curtis has spent years both playing and coaching a variety of sports. He has coached hockey and lacrosse, as well as assisting with volleyball teams in the past, bring a well rounded approach to player development.
​
This season marks Curtis's first year as a coach with the Killam Spartans. He looks forward to sharing his experience, dedication, and love of the game to help athletes grow on and off the court.

KELSEY SETH
Coach
Kelsey lives near Castor with her husband and 3 children. Their family farm keeps her busy, while working and volunteering in town keep her closely connected to her community.
Kelsey brings three years of experience coaching junior high volleyball at Gus Wetter School in Castor. She has a genuine passion for the game, which she enjoys playing when the rec league is running, and loves watching any game possible!
When she's not coaching, Kelsey enjoys skiing, painting, and listening to her favourite podcasts. This is Kelsey’s first year coaching with the Spartans. She is very excited to start the season, and to encourage both fun and growth in the athletes.
